Hi Guys,

I often get the below error in 'updatesdeployment.log' during software updates deployment and i'm unable to find the proper solution in internet.

"Job error (0x80244023) received for assignment"

Though the error says its related to the HTTP 504 error (HTTP status 504 - the request was timed out waiting for a gateway), but i could observe some client were able to do evaluation for the updates. Please suggest.

This error translates to SUS_E_PT_HTTP_STATUS_GATEWAY_TIMEOUT.

Check if there is the proxy or firewall.

Thanks for the response. based on your solution logic, I have tried resetting the proxy by using the command below

"netsh winhttp reset proxy command"

And it worked(resolved). Could you please let me know where the proxy setting is been set as i'm unable to find in inetcpl.cpl window (able to view the proxy been set by using the command "netsh winhttp show proxy") !!
