cannot access a shared computer while steadystate enabled
i've just installed steadystate on my school lan pcs. all are running windows xp sp2. i locked and restricted a limited 'student' account. i noticed i cannot access the any pc using start > run and type example \\192.168.0.23 - it says cannot be accessed. however i've a proxy software running on 192.168.0.23 which is accessible from connection settings which i use to provide internet access.

Hi dj333, can you use administrator account to access network shares? Have you turned off all restrictions in Windows SteadyState and see the result? From my point of view, you can also check network/sharing/permission setting on the shared computer.Sean Zhu - MSFT
