client.svc not foun

What is the full url you are using?  ANd can you post the exact error?

i am getting the error page not found 401 error. when i try to open the client.svc folder

According to your post, an error occurred when you accessed the Client.svc file.

We can do as follows:

1.Try to use the following link to access.

http://yoursitename/_vti_bin/Client.svc

2.Try to use Administrator account to login in your server and access it.

3.Check whether the Client.svc file exists in the following folder.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\isapi

It is recommended to use Client Object Model or REST services in SharePoint 2013.

HTTP 404 error.Page not found.
