I was trying to install clients.

eror message i get in log file is:

Failed to connect to \\LPMAQD03\admin$ using machine account (5)

Failed to connect to \\LVSNHD15.xxxdomain.org01\admin$ using machine account (1203)

WNetAddConnection2 failed (LOGON32_LOGON_NEW_CREDENTIALS) using account xxxdomain\xxxuser.

using this xxxdomain\xxxuser I remember i have installed clients before. What to verify please help.

Are you able to access both machines admins$ ?

Error 1203 :The network path was either typed incorrectly, does not exist, or the network pr
ovider is not currently available. Please try retyping the path or contact your
network administrator.

Error 5: Access is denied.

You need to verify that account is a local admin on the PC.  Also make sure someone/something hasn't turned off that admin share.

ensure the file and print sharing is enable and the account must have admin rights on target computer.

You can use GPO to make the domain user account member of local admins http://eskonr.com/2010/09/make-account-member-of-local-adminswhich-may-be-useful-in-configuration-manager-for-installation-of-sccm-client-push/

Are you able to deploy Client via ConfigMgr itself? Rather then going to client and getting it installed.

In second case, you need to use admin account, also this account should have access on the shared path mentioned.

Could you please guide how can I check that admin share hasn't been turned off? Is this account has to be in local admin group or any other special right is there to install the client?

If you are pushing clients from configmgr then have you checked the account has added in - Client Installation Methods - Client Push Installation - Accounts.

I am trying to install by right clicking the client from the console. The account is used it is member of local administration group which is set by GPO. There is no firewall enabled on client machine. there is no DNS issue. the CLient is being resolved by DNS. Still I am facing below errors:

Did you verify that file and printer sharing is installed? Server Service is running? and that the GPO actually psuhed the account to the client?
From the KB below.

• There are network connectivity problems.
• There are name resolution issues with, for example, Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) or Domain Name System (DNS).
• The Remote Registry service is disabled on the client computer.
• The Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 firewall is blocking communications between the SMS Advanced Client and the SMS site server.
• The Server service on the client is not started.
• File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks is not installed on the client computer

I am still on this problem. I have found admins$ is not accessible on those PCs. My ADS engineer is not aware of how currently some of PCs has got admins$ enabled. So I am here If anybody can help how to enable admins$ in client machines.

If you have remote registry, you can do it, but you'll need to reboot the remote system as well.

reg add \\COMPUTERNAME\HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters /t REG_DWORD /v hidden /d 0 /f

reg add \\COMPUTERNAME\HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters /t REG_DWORD /v autosharewks /d 1 /f

Then do a shutdown -m \\COMPUTERNAME -r -f -t 00
