disk management problem
I have a Hp server with 4 1 tb drives running in a raid 5, server 2008 r2. When I go to disk management Disk 0 shows a basic disk with with 2794 gb available. my problem is I can't seem to use all of the available space, i end up with 746 gb unallocated that I can't do anything with. I also can't create a partition larger then 1 tb. I have read something about converting to gpt, is this what i need to do and how would i go about it? would that be a total rebuild? first partition is currently the boot partition.

I think you may have posted in the wrong forum. I suspect you want one of the Server forums: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/category/windowsserver this one, Configuration Manager General, is for the product "System Center Configuration Manager". And although it can be installed on Server08 R2, this audience may not be the best forum location to help address your question.Standardize. Simplify. Automate.
