display configuration layout
Hi, is there any way to change the default layout of display configuration for objects. To be more specific, I would like to display two or more controls next to each other instead of having them in one column (i.e. having a possibility to define 2 or more column layout). I'm also curious if there is a plan that in the future release there will be a portal with much more flexibility. Some kind of sharepoint-based application which could allow me to develop my own webparts. Right now, this portal is quite cumbersome. It doesn't allow me to define my own controls and it doesn't always fit into the requirements of customers. Thanks.

Thanks for your feedback on Portal extensibility, this is something we are currently aware of. As per your first question, modifying the RCDC you can move controls from one tab to another - However a two-column layout is not something supported out of the box, can you specify what vertical would benefit from this behavior?

Well, a two-column layout can save some space in specific situations and the user doesn't have to scroll down. I think it would be handy to have attributes like firstName and lastName in one row. But this is something that depends on personal taste and customer request of course ;o). To be more specific, I was thinking about having a special attribute and displaying information about its last update next to it.
