dtutil and spaces in package names
I'm having trouble running a statement like this:
dtutil /DTS MSDB/Budget/BUD_Production - dtsChart of Accounts Budget - Final /En FILE;BUD_Production - dtsChart of Accounts Budget - Final.dtsx;4
I've tried:
dtutil /DTS "MSDB/Budget/BUD_Production - dtsChart of Accounts Budget - Final" /En FILE;"BUD_Production - dtsChart of Accounts Budget - Final.dtsx";4
dtutil /DTS "MSDB/Budget/BUD_Production - dtsChart of Accounts Budget - Final" /En "FILE;BUD_Production - dtsChart of Accounts Budget - Final.dtsx;4"
Any suggestions? I'm noDOS pro, but I can normally get things going.
Thanks
Sam

Sorry bout that...
Code Block
Option "-" is not valid.
Now it seems everything is working, thanks for your time. I may be going crazy...but I think I need another forum for that.

So what was the solution? I am having the same error
dtutil /SQL Symposium MTD /COPY FILE;d:\DtsxPackages\Symposium MTD.dtsx
This gives error that MTD is not a valid option

Late post, but maybe valuable for the next reader: you have to use quotes around your package name because the DTUtil parser acts on spaces. That's why it assumes 'MTD' is a supplied option.Jean-Paul Smit | Didago IT Consultancy
