editing a dts package
Hi All, Currently i am working on a task which is related to editing to DTS package. That Dts packa ge has 6 tasks. These 6 tasks are generating reports daily. The requirement is to stop 4 of these 6. Can any one suggest that if i disable the tasks can i achieve the goal or not? Thanks and Regards Balaji Y

Hi, You mean to say that i have to take the back up copy of the DTS package and after that i have to edit the package right ? could you please clarify me that how to import the dts package as i am opening the DTS package in Sql Server enterprise manager. I think this is the importing of the package. Any way i have the test environment and live environment for the application . Thanks and Regards Balaji Y

In EM klick right on Data Transformation Services - "Open Package" - choose the path to the .dts file and open. After editing store in SQL Server or file system. It depends on your requirements.
