headlines in content editor web part
Am I missing something, or is it not possible to create headlines ( <h> tags) in the RichTextEditor in content editor webparts (MOSS 2007)?There are no mistakes; every result tells you something of value about what your are trying to accomplish.

Hi run4it, Yes, it is not possible in CEWP but you already have one more option to re-size the font in CEWP. Select the content and user "A!" for font size. Hope it will helpCheers, Hemendra-MCTS "Yesterday is just a memory,Tomorrow we may never see"

@Destin - I can't expect my end users to know html. I could instruct them to select specific <h> tags if they were available though. @Hemendra - just sizing the font does not create semantically correct html. This is what drives me nuts about "write-the-code-for-you" tools like SharePoint. Does anyone know if this sort of thing has been improved in SP 2010? Have you posted your issue in 2010 forum to get the answer?Cheers, Hemendra-MCTS "Yesterday is just a memory,Tomorrow we may never see"

h1 is supposed to be used for the title of the page and shouldn't be used in a Rich Text Editor. Instead you should use it in your Page Layout and render the value of the Title field for the current page between the h1 tags. Aravindlive - If I create a site in my collection and that site is a publishing site, let's call it PubSub, and then I build a Pages library that contains 10 different web part pages, it makes no sense semantically for my 10 pages to all have <h1>PubSub</h1> as their primary headline. The <h1> tag should define to the user of assistive technology, what the primary, top level subject of the page is. Now, I know I can't change SharePoint from putting my site's name into the <h1> tag, but I should be able to create <h2>, <h3>, etc. headings on my page. There is no way to do that that I can tell in the content editor web parts. @Mike Walsh - why did you move this out of the Accessibility forum? Semantic headlines is all about accessibility. SharePoint uses the Headings (H1, H2, H3, and H4) tags to help convey the structure of pages and improve the clarity of the content to users of accessibility tools . For example, the home page for a site contains one H1 tag that contains the site title, one H2 tag that contains the page title, an H3 tag around the View All Site Content link, and H3 tags around the title of each Web Part. please refer this Whitepaper Deliver accessible solutions by using Office SharePoint Server (white paper)Aravind http://aravindrises.blogspot.com
