hi all my event viewer for sharepoint server just kept throwing errors like following 1.LoadBalancer.RegisterLauncher failed: Unable to connect to the remote server 2. Load control template file /_controltemplates/PWALinkCustomFieldTemplate.ascx failed: c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\CONTROLTEMPLATES\PWALinkCustomFieldTemplate.ascx(31): error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'PWA' does not exist in the namespace 'Resources' (are you missing an assembly reference?) And I think at some level it dragged down the server to full stop. I even had to restart win2003 to get it work again. Can anyone help me plz?

I noticed when I turn of the load balancing service and turn it back on it stop the error.

I had exactly the same problem. I fixed it by changing the account that the service was running under and restarting the service. Now it works fine.

You can change the port of the document launcher service and then restart the service. You can change the port number to 8081 and 8091 on the 2 services
