Hello Danny, What is the version of your SCE server? If your are using SCE 2007 RTM version, please upgrade it to SP1 and try again. Does your AD environment have a disjointed DNS namespace? There is a known issue that Automatic Discovery fails in environments with a disjointed DNS namespace. Read the following thread as an example. http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1903471&SiteID=17 Did you run the "Feature Configuration Wizard" before you deploy the agents? If the Domain Policy option was selected in the Feature Configuration Wizard, the Windows Firewall exceptions will be configured in a domain Group Policy object, and it may take up to 24 hours before the group policy settings are applied to client computers. To force a computer to apply group policy settings, log on to it and run “gpupdate /force” from the command line. Besides, verify that the computer account exists in Active Directory: a. Open the “Active Directory Users and Computers” management console. b. Select the “Saved Queries” folder, right-click on it and select “New-Query”. c. Enter a name for the query. d. Click the “Define Query” button. e. Click the drop-down list marked, “Find:”, and select “Computers”. f. Enter the name or search prefix, e.g. “pacer0” and click “OK”. g. Click “OK” again. h. Verify the computer appears in the list of results. Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT
