mp on windows 2008 - webdav issue
Hi
I am trying to add the MP role to a windows 2008 server. (SCCM 2007 SP1)
The MPSETUP log says:
Installing the SMSMP<05-27-2008 11:43:50> Passed OS version check.<05-27-2008 11:43:50> IIS Service is installed.<05-27-2008 11:43:50> checking WebDAV configuraitons <05-27-2008 11:43:51> Failed to get WebDAV settings on the machine (0x80070003)
I have downloaded and installed webdav for iis7 but still the same error.
Any advice?
Thanks
David

Great go-to doc there John. I ALWAYS reference that when dealing with Server 2k8.
Just to add, I also noticed this on a server that was configured properly and had an MP setup at one time but was then failing upon reinstallation. The client was using "SMSWEB" custom websites and the site had mysteriously stopped and wouldn't start due
to binding conflicts. It seems that the "Default" web site had grabbed one of the custom ports and binded to it, causing SMSWEB to fail. Fix the binding issue, fix the failing WebDAV issues.
It seems like such an obvious find but the thing about SCCM is it can frustrate you to the point you forget the basics :-P ...... Still love it though.Dustin Estes
