read permission for everything
I'm running WSS3 and have possibly 100 or more sites nested within one another, many of which have unique permissions and are not inheriting from the parent site.
I have just been asked by management to give 2 people read access to all sites, libraries, and files.
Is there a way to do this without having to manually go through each site/document library and verify that the group I made for them is a member with read privileges?
Thanks.

Create a Web Application permission Policy to give them read access to one zone in each Web Applicaiton. This is done in Central Administration. Take a look at the following Technet article which explains how.
