I am trying to do osd in sccm,but at this stage the state of my server is critical because I am getting the following error in thousands. SMS Distribution Manager failed to process package "Boot image (x86)" (package ID = 00800001). help me with techniques or steps to resolve the error.

which version of Configmgr are you using ? SCCM 2007 sp1 or sp2 ? have you tried reinstalling the correct version of WAIK, with SP2 the waik is on the install media located in the SMSSETUP\WAIK folder My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

i have installed SCCM 2007 sp2.no i have not installed WAIK.should i install before proceeding further?

The couple of times this has happened to me it has been resolved with the following two solutions: - Check permissions on the package and the folder it is located in.- - Verify the location of the distribution point that you are using and the account rights on that DP.Eddie
