the sps 2003 setup wizard does not have an option to select different version of sql server database. The only available option shows up on the wizard is sql server 2000. Does anyone know it is possible to install sps 2003 on sql servver 2005/2008 environment?

Hi,Office SharePoint Server 2007 supports SQL Server 2008. However, you must install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 SP1 or later and Office SharePoint Server 2007 SP1 or later before you install SQL Server 2008details here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262485.aspxso my answer is NOBest Regards,

I don't understand
a) why you wrote this as a reply, Ahmed
and
b) why Peterxwang marked it as an answer.
He was asking about SPS 2003 and your answer is for MOSS 2007.
