user pemission management in sharepoint 2007
Hi all,
last day i faced a straing problem in SP 2007.
what i did is i delete a user from all group in SharePoint Site collection and add user with least pemission (read). but when i loggin with the that particular account i found the user having edit pemission on the home page.
secondly what i did is i just remove the user form SharePoint site and try to log in and it allow me to log in with that account.But when i try to log in from the out side of the local intranet it doesn't allow me to log in ,,,,any help will appreciated

Hi,
How you have removed the user? Have you manually removed him from all user groups or you have removed him directly from all people section of site collection?
I would suggest you to check effectivie permissions by using security report account. You can get thsi by installing AdminToolkit in your environment.

Hi,
I will suggest you to remove the user from entire site collection directly.
You can follow these steps:
1. Go to all people of your site collection. You can do it directly by appending _layouts/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=0 to your site collection URL.
2. Then check the checbox for the user you want to remove.
3. Go to Actions-->Delete User from Site Collection.

i do the same before and delete the user. but still the user is able to access the site and can edit.
what other things i do is, i just find out in which group is the user exists . but this group not exists in the the page.Thanks and Regards Er.Pradipta Nayak
