users can not runu report
There are several reports which the user can browse to the http address to view
i.e. http://servername...
All the reports have the same security
There is one report which the non-admin users can not access.
When they browse to it, the report comes up with parameters and the heading of the report but no data.
Note that myself and other developers who have admin rights, can access this very report but other users can not.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks

If you grant/add that non admin user to another more powerful role, does he/she able to run and see the report?Best Regards, Uri Dimant SQL Server MVP http://dimantdatabasesolutions.blogspot.com/ http://sqlblog.com/blogs/uri_dimant/

Hi,
If I add the non admin user to the admin users in SSRS then he can indeed view the report.
But ideally I do not want that person to be in the admin list in SSRS 2008
Note that the non admin user can indeed access other reports without any issues.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Hi arkoboys,
In Reporting Services, most permissions are inherited from a parent node. So, if we assign an Item-level role for a user under the Report Manager home page, the user can access all of folders.
In your case, have you got some error message if the Non-Admin user views the report? If possible, please post a screenshot after the user view the report. In addition, you can try to re-upload the report to the Report Server.
For more information about granting permissions on a Native Mode Report Server, please see:
