hello All , i am trying to install intune client on sbs 2003 . that doesnt seems to work , as the OS requirement doesnt meet.

my question in such situation when i dont have client running on my server , how will it monitor it ?

Windows Intune only support client OS (Windows XP SP3+, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8).   You could use SCCM or another solution to monitor your SBS 2003 server.

jon, considering intunes monitoring and remote administration qualities i wanted a single solution like this for my environment.

i am planning to move to sbs 2011 ( base OS is std 2008 R2), would i able to add my server for remote administration then?

or the client deployement package is only meant to monitor client OS? if thats the case with intunes is SCCM only option left for me.

Hi,

Windows Intune is only for managing client OS and Mobile/Modern devices.  Server SKU's aren't supported.
