zero touch deployment using SCCM

Hi,

As SCCM is called as zero touch deployment method for operating system deployment. So please help me to clear my below doubts

  1.        How SCCM take care of backup & restore of entire HDD, if SCCM does not take care of backup & restore of entire HDD then how we can say it is zero touch deployment method?

we can use USMT tool with SCCM to decide what we need to backup. I think good planned infrastructure will always have users data on file servers rather than on user's local system. please refer below few URLs for more information:

Does anyone have backed up entire Hard disk using USMT? If yes then please suggest how to do it.

Or please let me know what strategy we recommend/use against backup and restore while deploying operating system using SCCM.

It is not good practice to use USMT for a complete system backup. The correct method is to capture the drive to a WIM file using the ztibackup.wsf script.

Loads of resources out there on this.
