.Net 2 coexistence with Exchange 2013?

Server 2012R2 with Exchange 2013. Need to create a new virtual directory in IIS that relies on .net 2.0. I know I can add .net in add features but want to make sure this won't break Exchange. The compatibility guide seems to say no but I am looking for clarification (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff728623.aspx)

Thanks!

Hi,

As the article you provided, it supports .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 with Exchange 2010 SP2/SP3 and Exchange 2013 SP1 or later.

I suggest use .NET 2.0 SP1. Download: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6041

Thanks
