DearWhen I receive a .docxattachment by e-mail I download it. it will be a compresed folder so i need assistant to how to fix this issue eventhough i'm using office 2007.thanks

Hellowhen I want to dowblopad the attachment (which is .docx) I receieve save it to the desktop and when I want to save it the file type will be compressed folder and it will be compressed and as i enter the folderr i see more than one folder.Note that this happens only on this PC the others are working normally and I'm using office 2007 on it.thanks

Hi, Can you open the .docx file in Outlook directly? You mentioned it will become a compressed folder, so check the files properties, whats the file extension? Rar or zip? Thanks, Elvis

As you said this is only happens on this PC then i guess this is machine specific issue and nothing to deal with exchange as in how exchange handling this .docx attachment.lets do one thing. reset the .docx extension and ensure it should only open with Microsoft Word ONLY!. hold the left shift key of your keyboard->right click-> Open with and select Microsoft Word application. It is successful partialy.I used the shift key and then open with and I succeded in opening it in word but the problem is that every time I want to download such a file I want to follow the same proccess eventhough I clicked on "always use the selected program to open this kind of files".thanks a lot

Hi Mlebanon, Can you open the .docx file in Outlook by double-clicking it? Can you open the .docx file in desktop normally?
