We have one user working with Outlook 2010 64-bit on a Windows 8.1 workstation. There are some .msg files in his local drive. When he tries to open the msg file by double-clicking it opens normally like any outlook mail. But when he tries to drag & drop that msg file into one of his PST files, a pop-up window opens asking do you want to open, save or cancel (the one which we get when opening attachments in mail). Tried recreating the profile (both outlook and user profile), re-installed Outlook but still the issue persists. Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

To resolve this issue, run your MS Outlook as administrator.

To make this as permanent or to use this setting for several restart:

Type Outlook in the search field on the Start Menu >> Open File Location >> Right click on MS Outlook icon and select Properties >> Move on Compatibility Tab >> Check the Run this program as an administrator.
