Hi,In our initial lab testing for Exchange 2007 SP1 on Server 2008 SP2 we were installing .net framework 3.0 (servermanagercmd -i net-framework) - seems like only 2.0 was really needed but we figured hey why not build it in from the start, and plus some of our3rd party storage apps tend to call for it.Now we're in the next phase of testing where we pay more attention to the config and I'm wondering:- Would 2.0 be good enough? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996719.aspxsays 3.0 is needed but the Exchange setup program only really seems to check for 2.0- I noticed that Web Server(IIS) gets installed when we install net-framework ... does this present any conflicts on CAS servers? Hub Transports? Mailbox? I know we end up installing IIS for some of the Exchange roles anyway but can they happily coexist with whatever the .net framework usesIIS for?- I noticed there's alsonet-framework-core that we can install and some blogs seem to suggest that one... does this install less stuff and would it be a better bet for Exchange?

Hi,From the technet article,we can find that WindowsServer2008-based computers only require .NETFramework Version3.0. So for this issue,I think we need to install .NET Framework 3.0 for Windows Server 2008.We need to first install IIS role and then install .NET Framework.Regards,Xiu
