User 1 shared his contacts with user 2. When user 2 attempts opening user 1 shared contacts, user 2 calendar opens instead. I have so far tried 1) opening user 1 contacts from user 3 no problem. 2) sharing user 3 contacts with user 2, no problem either.

Strange, what about if you go to the calendar icon botton left corner in outlook (not the folder) then you right click my calendar, add calendar, choose user1 from GAL. User 2 opening user 1 calendar works fine. I tried another thing. User 1 has more than 1 contact list, I gave full rights to user 1 on user 2 mailbox, other contact lists work fine, this (default or main) contact list gives me the same calendar view when opening full mailbox by user accounts, more settings, advanced open mailboxes.
