2007 Public Folder Content Update Failed
Hello IT Guru's Our exchange server was crash recently and we build the new server with different name and we attached the old email database and every think seems to be working fine. We have attached the DB for our public folder and we can see folders in Public folder console, but we can't see the content inside it - since we have many documents, attachments in the folder - when i am trying to update the content i am getting the following error. “Database portability is only offered for Exchange 2007 mailbox databases. Public folder databases are not portable. This is because replication between public databases is controlled by each database being linked to and accessed through a specific server... If you copy a public folder database to a different server, it will no longer replicate with other databases”

You shall restore the public folder database with the old server name
How many servers do you have to host the public folders? The “Update Content” operation only makes sense for a situation where a particular public folder has multiple replicas and you are attempting to update content from the other replicas. In a single server (Single replica) environment, the "Update Content" is meaningless. Such an error would be expected in that case.
