2007 exchange user gone after deleting mailbox!?
Hi All!
I have a workingexchange 2007, but something is wrong: Today, i deleted a users mailbox from the management console. I wanted to create a mailbox for this user again, so i clicked "New Mailbox", from EXISTING USER. However, strangely this user is not on that list! I thought maybe he had been deleted from the AD as a mistake, but i checked my DCs and he was still there, working. I waited a few hours, replicated and updated the address books, and still: he is GONE from the management console!
I need to create a mailbox asap for this user, but i dont want to delete him totally from the AD, because he is a working user with his own pc and profile.
What can be wrong? please help me!
Regards, WeeMan

Is the DC on which you made the change in the same AD site as the exchange server? Also, you can use replmon from the windows support tools to make sure your DC's are replicating and force replication.

My Mailserver is nota DC. But replication is actually working now, it just took a long time before seeing updates to the addresslists! So that part of the problem is no longerapplicable.
However, this user, whose mailbox i deleted, is still not to be found in the Management toos under "Existing users" when wanting to create a new mailbox. HeIS present in the AD, and the list of users on the mailserver is complete also with some new test users i made today. Where is this user??

Okay, solution found; Turns out my replication was VERY slow/not working too good. Fixed the problem, and it seems the user WAS in fact deleted in AD. So everything is now okay again!
Thanks for your help
