Hello, I have been running into an issue that has me a bit stumped.

I am one of those people who likes to associate a contact with a picture when it comes to my E-mail. I find it much easier to find a contact that way if I can just look for a picture in business card view instead of hunting for just a name.

I have discovered that my pictures are disappearing out of my contacts while I was browsing through them and I finally found out what I am doing when these pictures vanish.

These pictures go away when I edit anything in the contact and then save and close that contact after I am done editing. Until I do that, the picture stays. If I edit ANYTHING about that contact, the picture goes away and I have to add it back.

I am using Outlook 2010 standalone without Exchange and Windows 7 professional. I have tested this on Outlook 2007, 2010, AND 2013. 2010 is the only version this happens on. Does anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate the feedback.

I've seen a similar issue that the contact picture will be gone after editing the contact. That was caused by KB2956128. Have you installed it yet? If yes, please uninstall it to test again and let me know the result.

I also suggest you install the latest April 14, 2015 update for Outlook 2010 (KB2965295), then check the result.

Thank you for your answer. I will look and see if that is indeed the cause. I will report back with my findings when I have been able to research this.
