3-Way Backup
Howdy,I need some assistance. My wife works in a small office (3 employees) and they have asked me to assist in setting them up with new Windows computers. One of their requests was to have each PC backed up as often as possible (probably nightly). My question is, would it be possible to have each PC back up to one of the others on the network. I was thinking it would be pretty savvy if each one could be backed up to one of the other two, eliminating the need for any other storage drives.Their OK with Windows XP or Windows Vista for their systems, so would one of the two be easier for accomplishing this? I don't have much experience with Vista, but I've heard it boasts some clean new backup utilites. Thanks in advance!

First of all, this is an Exchange server forum. you should post your question in the desktop support newsgroup / forum. But before I let you go:When it comes to backups, I prefer to keep things simple. so I would actually just get a little network-based external drive and have everyone backup to that. or really, a USB hard drive for each machine then use the vista "complete pc backup". This will be your easiest restore.Vista backup is pretty cool if you have the ultimate or enterprise version (i think), but it wont backup across a network. the NTbackup included in XP will.
