32KB Rule size limit
hi,
there is a rule limit of 32KB in exchange 2003 whereby i cannot create more than 50-70 server side rules in outlook. There is also a knowledgebase article with some workaround in registry to increase this size limit. if only anyone can tell me the article number i had the article before but i lost it but i just cant seem to find it again in microsoft knowledgebase.

Hi Shoaib,
Unfortunately, you can not increase the size of rules (32KB) in Exchange 2003.
Some of the workarounds are here..
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/241325/
In Exchange 2007, it is by default 64KB and can be increased to 256KB with below command.
Set-Mailbox "username" -RulesQuota:256KB

Hi,
I agree with Amit that there is no way to adjust it. You can use the KB above as a workaround.
Maximum number of rules per folder in the Inbox or in a public folder in Exchange Server 2003, Exchange 2000, and Exchange Server 5.5

Thanks all for your reply. But i had the KB article which described how to edit the exchange 2003 registry for the same. this was way back before the release of exchange 2007 and i found that particular article while i was searching for journal wrap error in sysvol folders although the two dont have any connection. It's just that i had the article, now when i need it i have lost it.Thanks,Shoaib

I would really love to get some solution or workaround like increase the limit with registry key since I have many customers who are eagerly waiting for it but it seems to me that it is production limitation
