403 error when attempting external connection
Howdy all, I'm running a single box with CA/HT/MB roles all isntalled and I'm publishing my owa site through an ISA 2004 server. Both are running on win 2k3 x64. I have forms-based auth set up on my web listner and basic set up on IIS. My OWA site works
just fine internally as well as activesync. However when I pull it up externally, the login page loads and if I enter correct credentials (or none at all-just hit go) it pops up with this:
Error Code: 403 Forbidden. The server denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202)
Any ideas? This has been a real headache for me. Using testexchangeconnectivity.com, the inbound/outbound SMTP tests work fine. Any other test hangs at the certificate part (we are using a self signed certificate, could that be it?)
Things I've tried:
Disable/enable Outlook anywhere
Checked for website adresses set in Exchange management console
Reloaded OWA Virtual Directory
Once again any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so after some more testing and digging through logs I figured out that the OWA listener is getting bypassed for both OWA and ActiveSync externally. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
