ACE Remove object error - Server Admins
Hello,I have done some searching already and the links I found in technet were related to "recipients" that had old SID and issues with removing the objects. In my case this is under the EMC > Organization > Exchange AdministratorsFor some reason there is a dead object stuck there, if I try to remove it I recieve the typical ACE object can not be found, going though ADSIEDIT I see that its there, but I'm thinking someone recreated the object because it exsist in EMC already without any issues. This server is a CCR cluster node and is the virtual name, not sure why it shows up as an Exchange Server Admin, but its a computer object.IdentityDead SIDRoleExchange Server AdminScopeServerNameAny Ideas on how I get get it out of the Exchange Admins error.

I guess it may be a orphaned object. try removing by adsiedit. it should not affect anything as these are just delegated roles on Server level Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Problem is in ADSIEDIT that object exist with the same name, but different SID since someone used the same server name. If I was to delete it would delete the good one in use. Any other suggestions.

Do you mean that the one of the cluster nodes shows up as an exchange admin in the EMC? If yes, please see my post in this thread

James,Thanks for that thread, it explains whats going on which is what I noticed, but I manually added to read-only since the warning said it should be a member.Guess my issue that I cant delete teh ADSIEDIT object because the one its looking for does not exsist in the path its displaying.
