AD Info not showing up in Exchange
We recently went through AD and changed a lot of user's Titles, Phone Numbers, and other data on their AD accounts. It's been several days, and this data has still not shown up under the user's info in the Exchange. Basically if I login to the exchange server and open AD Users and Computers, all the data is correct. Open the Exchange Mgmt console and look at "Recipient Configuration" and it still has the old data. The data, of course, isn't showing up in the GAL or OAD either. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

The data is not replicated from AD to Exchange . You need to check for any events related to AD in application log ( event vieweron exchange server . Initiate diagnostic logging and check the results for dcdiag /v and netdiag etc. check the OAB events also which one isour configuration dc ( event id 2080)

Anil I haven't seen anything telling in the log, nothing related to the GAL. I did turn on diag logging now though too. The info doesn't show up in OWA either. And I've tried to view the info in Outlook 2007 and 2010. But as I said, if I look at the info for the user straight on the Exchange Server through the Mgmt console....the data doesn't show up either...yet it does if I look in Ad Users/Computers.

If the Outlook client is working in "Exchange cached-mode" it's using the Offline Address Book, not the Global Address List. Check the OAB generation server to see if the OAB is being generated. Check the clients to see if they're downloading the OAB files. If Outlook is working in cached-mode, change that on one of the machines and restart Outlook. Doe the altered information appear now? >Any suggestions on how to fix this? What version of Exchange? If it's 2007 or 2010 and you're using Outlook 2010, have you enabled distribution of the OAB through the CAS? Is the OAB replicating from the OAB server to the CAS? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Exchange reads the AD to produce the Offline Address Book, but that's the extent of it. >You need to check for any events related to AD in application log ( event vieweron exchange server . But so, too, could it be that the clients are not downloading the new OAB. >which one isour configuration dc ( event id 2080) --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Do you have more than one domain controller? Try using ADUC and connecting to each one. Do you see the same information on each of them? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

HI, I guess you have multiple domain controllers in your AD environment and exchange is retreiving the data from a domain controller which is not properly replicated from other replication partners. Could you please force the replication of all domain conrollers by running the below command. repadmin /replicate destinationdc.yourdomain.com sourcedc.yourdomain.com dc=yourdomain,dc=com Pls install support tools for getting repadmin command.
