AD Preperation for Exchange 2010 - MultiDomain
I have one forest one root domain and one child domain, Running windows 2003 SP2 on native mode. Having Exchange2003 SP2 organisation. I have run the Exchange 2010 SP1 setup. Went through the installtion wizard which has installed the required Shema and AD preparation tasks, using the root domain administrator account with shema admin privileges. After completing the exchange 2010 installation, Creating or migrating mailbox of the parent domain is ALL OK. But when I try to create a mailbox for the child domain user OR migrate a user mailbox from the child domain to Exchange 2010 environment, I get the error message "INSUFF_ACCESS_RIGHTS". What should be my next step? Thanks in advance.

Hi, No, I have'nt run any command line entries. I used the Setup wizard which has done the current domain preperations.

That will only do it on the forest, you need to run it on the child domain since you did not install an Exchange server in the child domain. You need to run it with a domain admin from the child domain.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
