AD user templates showing in OAB
Hello - I've created AD user templates for new user creations in Active Directory. For some reason these are now showing up in all of our Address book in Outlook. I did not create any mailbox in Exchange for these templates. How can I hide these templates from the OAB view? Please kindly advise. Cheers - DB

If they're mail objects, then they'll show up in the address book. What it appears you did was make mail-enabled as opposed to mailbox-enabled users, and those show up in the address book as well. You can mail-disable (Disable-MailUser cmdlet) to remove the e-mail attributes. Or you can hide the template objects from the address book, but I believe that any new users you clone from the templates will also be hidden from the address book, and diagnosing and fixing that may cost you more time than you'd be saving from using the templates in first place.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

These templates don't have exchange inbox created, only user account in AD that's why I'm confused as to why these are even showing in the OAB? I do understand if I run the Disable-MailUser cmdlet to disable these templates and this may also hide the new ones created from this template when I do a copy in AD.
