AD users randomly locked out

Hi Guys,

We are having an issue where multiple users keeps getting locked out from the domain. After analyzing the issue using LockoutStatus and the eventvwr, I noticed that after launching outlook the last bad password counter starts to increase. our domain in AD is xyz.com and the Email is a hosted exchange server 2010 with the same xyz.com domain. I am guessing that since they are both ends with the same domain name xyz.com it is trying to authenticate with the AD first and if the hosted password is different from the domain password, the user gets locked out.

DC: windows server 2008 r2.

Hosted exchange: Exchange server 2010.

Clinet OS: Windows 7

Outlook: outlook 2013.

Thanks,

Try selecting an option in Outlook Options to ask password every time when you login in outlook and give hosted account password...

File - Account Settings - Double click on configured email account - More settings - Security - tick -> "Always prompt for logon credentials"

Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now
