A policy or powershell to archive emails base on quote limit for Exchange 2010
Hi all, I would like to find out if this is possible in Exchange 2010 to archive emails if the mailbox reach it's mailbox quote. As an example, I have a policy that the maximum mailbox size is 100MB and warning level is 80MB. I am trying to find out if there is any way to archive the mailbox if it reach 80MB and shrink it down to i.e. 60MB or 70MB. I had a look around EMC and EMS but unable to find anything that will achieve what I am looking for. If there is a way either via EMC/EMS or a powershell script should what I am looking for. Thanks in advance.

Natively you can't do this with Exch. It's age based not quota.Sukh

I agree with Sukh. With the help of Exchange native tool you cannot achieve this. Archive policies archive the items based on Age not the quota limit. You can go through following articles for more information. Thanks guys. I did have a look around and unable to find anything out of the box for Exchange. Might have to look for a PS script to do so.
