Hi all, We've bought another domain name for an online project in the pipe. I've created an accepted Domain for the new domain. I'm trying to create a new E-Mail Address Policy for this but... 1. I don't want it to put the new domain on all my existing users mailboxes 2. I want to be able to create 2 new mailboxes with sales@newdomain.com and webmaster@newdomain.com but not as users in AD. Basically, so multiple users within the current domain can connect to the mailbox Currently, I tried a basic Policy which wants to use the default domain. Hope this makes sense :S

You dont have to create an email address policy if you dont want. If you accept the domain, Exchange will still handle it correctly. As for Question 2. Create 2 AD accounts the same as users and mailbox-enable the account and add the SMTP addresses to the accounts. If you want, disable the AD account, and give user who need access to the mailboxes, full mailbox access and SEND AS if required.

MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M Note that you should only uncheck the update email address based on email policy if you do not want to override the SMTP address that is set as the default on the account. If you want these new mailboxes to have your current default SMTP address as the default in addition to the new SMTP domain, do not uncheck that box. This sounds as if you only need a few mailboxes (online project?) If so, I wouldnt bother creating an email address policy. If there are fair number of accounts, consider it. Even if you dont create one now, you can later. also, not sure what you intend for this online project, but you could always simply mail-enable a public folder and add those new SMTP addresses as well. Thanks guys, got it sorted as above. I didn't create a policy because it's only two mailboxes at this stage.
