Access 2010 and image gallery

Hi, using Access 2010. When I import a form that has an image from the image gallery, this image becomes a new entry in the gallery. That is, in MSysResources is an existing record with an image named 'Exit'. When the form is imported a new record is created with the same image and named '1_Exit'. However the imported form still links to the image named 'Exit'. Any additional forms imported with the same image will create 'n_Exit'.

The image gallery is now cluttered with these redundant images.

How do I import the form without creating a new image record in MSysResources and also cluttering the image gallery?

Hi,

Thanks to your post in Technet forum.

I notice that you had post a same topic in MSDN forum(http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/c53dd446-469b-47d4-9af2-71e0681d8131/import-form-with-image-now-have-duplicate-item-in-image-gallery), I want to know whats going on.

Dose the import a form import a form that has an image from the image gallery mean that create a form and insert a image as an object to the form?

Then you want to import an other form, if the form has the same image, rename it and link the original image.

I recommend you use the Single Images Across Multiple Forms and Reports in Access 2010 Applications.

The shared image gallery enables you save space in the database by sharing images across multiple forms and reports. In addition, the gallery has a simplified interface.
