Access 2010 file turned to 0KB!!!

Dear all,

One user of us have met a very strange situation recently. Below is his email:

"So, I have been working on making an Access Database for tracking instrument checkout.  I finished it this morning, and was checking to make sure all of my command buttons were doing what I wanted them to do.  I had disabled the Ribbon Menu bar earlier this morning, and decided that this was not necessary, so I re-enabled it.  I got a message (that I have received before without problem) that said I needed to close Access and re-open it for the changes to take place.  When I tried to re-open the database, I received the following message:Microsoft Access can't find the database file: '\\file server\Userdoc$\user login account\my document". And the file size has been changed to 0KB!"

What I've done was:

1. Checked the file server, the file was there but it shown 2304KB instead of 0KB. But the last modification date was May 14th. So I guess this was because the file was not synchronized with the server since May 14th. I right click that file, and there was no 'always available offline' option for this file, all other files was marked as 'always available offline'. I think that's the root cause.

2. I tried to fix the corrupt Access database by following this link: https://semnaitik.wordpress.com/2013/07/17/how-to-repair-corrupt-access-database/, but it didn't work.

3. Checked the Sync center, no conflicts.

4. Checked the cache file folder, nothing.

Did anyone have met this strange situation before? Any suggestions?

Please let me know if you have any useful information on this issue due to that file is important for user. thank you all in advance!
