Access Denied for Exchange Administrator while browsing other users OWA Virtual Directory
Hi All, Can anyone guide me why do i get access denied error while trying to browse other users OWA Virtual Directory. I have confirmed i have Full Access on the User Mailbox. I can also open the user mailbox if i configure the Outlook Profile. However i get Access Denied error while accessing the mailbox using OWA and While setting up Out of Office Notifications (I get Server Not Available through Outlook). Any areas that i should look in to is greatly appreciated

Click on the little triangle to the right of your name in the upper right-hand corner and enter the name of the other mailbox. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Thanks for the response. I did try that option out. I have tried opening other user mailboxes after i connect to my mailbox in OWA. I get the User Experience Page and i get the prompt to enter my credentials. After i have entered my credentials i do not get in to the mailbox and the following error is displayed as below: "You do not have permission to open this mailbox. For access or for more information, contact technical support for your organization" I have confirmed the following settings: 1. I Have Full Access Rights on User Mailbox. (As stated earlier i can configure the Outlook Profile and login). 2. Authentication Settings is as per the screenshot attached. Regards Sandeep Swarup S

Hello, Grant the full access permission on another user and see if the issue still occur when opening the new user’s mailbox. Try disabling the “Windows Authentication” and restart the IIS service. Then check if the issue persists. Thanks, Simon

If you have Full Mailbox Access on the other mailbox you shouldn't be asked for credentials because you've already provided them to access your own mailbox. >2. Use the EMC and remove your FMA access and savethe change. Then use EMC and grant your account FMA on the other mailbox again. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

I also wanted to update that my exchange enviornment is using a third-party software from MessageWare - Time Guard Nav Guard Attachview I am suspecting the Security Settings on these software might be causing the problem.Regards Sandeep Swarup S
