ActiveSync policies in Windows 8 Mail client
I'm having an issue with ActiveSync policies remaining on Windows 8 machines after the corporate account they are coming from is removed from the mail client. I have tried all ways of removing the account...remove in the app, delete from the server,
perform a remote wipe from the server, and uninstalling the entire mail app. None of these have produced the desired outcome of the policies being removed when the email account is removed. Any help/ideas is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for your response! However, this doesn't address the issue I'm having. I am aware of the 10 device limit...my problem is that the security policies enforced by an ActiveSync connection in the Windows 8 Mail app remain even after
the connection is removed. I need to find a way to reset all policies to default after removing all exchange ActiveSync connections.
Let me know if there is any more info I can provide to help find a solution.
Thanks!

The policies associated with an activesync connection remain on a Windows 8 PC after removing the account from the mail app. I need to know how to remove the policies that were enforced with the activesync connection.

I know exactly what you mean and I have the same issue. I found a solution in the web for it and it was very simple. Just a button somewhere in the usersettings. Unfortunately I forgott where this button was and I cant find it anymore. And I need it again
too :(

Hi
Have had the same problem. If you go to PC Settings -> Users -> The option to change "Any user who has a password must enter it after waking this PC" is grayed out.
In order to reset this (and other enforced security settings) after removing the Activesync account please go to: Control Panel - > All Control Panel Items -> User Accounts. Bottom left there should be an option to "Reset Security Policies". Do
it.
Afterwards you should also be able to change "Any user who has a password must enter it after waking this PC" under PC Settings -> Users.
Hope this helps!
