Active X commands have been disables by MS security updates for 12/24/14 and 1/1/15.  Online FIx It for 12/24/14 updates corrected problem, but Fix It's don't correct problem from 1/1/15 updates. 

The security updates seem to be intended to stop remote access hackers.

Is there a fix for this problem?

Or shoud the updates be reveresed (Contro Panel - Programs - View Updates)?

I'm not sure which 1/1/15 update it is in your post, could you let me know its kb number from Contro Panel -> Programs -> View Updates?

The issue "Form Controls stop working after December 2014 Updates" is discussed in this blog, I haven't heard it's related to any January 2015 Update yet:
