Activesync and OWA stopped working.
Good day all, I've come across an issue I haven't had before. Recently Activesync and OWA stopped working. OWA is still accessible from localhost on the server, however, not by any other means. None of our mobile devices are syncing anymore either. SBS2008 w/ Exchange 2007 I believe this started after I created a GPO to map network drives for certain users. I have since removed that GPO and performed gpupdate /force which hasn't seemed to resolve the issue. I have increased the Queue Length and restarted the service which didn't help. Rebooting the server isn't an option at this time. I'm not that experienced with Exchange and OWA so I'm sure there is probably an easy solution to this. Here is the error I'm receiving from HTTPerr.log: HTTP/1.1 OPTIONS /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync 503 - Timer_ReqQueue - and HTTP/1.1 POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?User=######&DeviceId=Appl86113RACA4S&DeviceType=iPhone&Cmd=Ping 503 - Timer_ReqQueue - From this I gather that it's a timeout error but am at a bit of a loss in trying to fix it. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have done that when I noticed the problem but that didn't help at all.

Hi, Error 503 generally means service unavailable. However, it doesnt make sense when OWA is working from localhost. Are you sure the IIS log is recorded for the affected user when the issue occurs? Is there any error or warning recorded in the application event log in CAS server? Refer to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318380 thanks. Fiona Liao TechNet Community Support
