Currently we own a few domainsi.e. (x.com, y.com and z.com). x.com's emails comes here to our office and we use x.loc as our local domain. x.com's website is hosted elsewhere along with the other domains. Currently the other domains are using free pop accounts from the hosting provider. I have played around with a few scenarios but I would like the help from some of you on how you would set this up. I would like to host the email for the other domains and have users be able to send as the other domains when they want here on our Exchange 2003 Server. I have setup a different reciepent policy and pointed mx entry to our exchange ip and added an email address to tuser@x.com so he also recieves tuser@y.com. The only problem is how does he send email @y.com when his default address is tuser@x.com? I have tried setting up imap so he could have an imap account and an exchange account but both emails show up in both places and that seems like a mess. Any ideas? Thanks

Dear customer: According to the current document, this is a by design behavior in Outlook. A user account can only own one primary SMTP address as one of its properties which will be shown in the From field at the recipient's side. And the primary SMTP address cannot be changed in Outlook. Thus, we may not be able to achieve directly. As a workaround we may consider the following method: We can create a similar user account and grant the send as permission to the original user. Meanwhile configure to make the messages which were sent to the new account forwarded to the original user automatically.
