Additional SMTP addresses assigned to user/mailbox
When someone leaves we disable their email account and sometimes assign their default SMTP address to another user. However when this user recieves email it's had to determine if it was sent to this newly assigned SMTP address or not. Is there
some way to get these additional SMTP address to show up differently in outlook ?

Hi Arnie997,
Sure, you could do that, create a folder through server, but we could not create a transport rule to send the email to special folder of the mailbox.
In my opinion, you could create a inboxrule to move them.

Create a rule in Outlook that checks the message header for the word patterns of the addtional SMTP addresses. From there you can move it to another folder or flag it in another way ( Catagory etc...)

Thats a thought..., maybe if I could do that in a powershell for the user would be perfect ! Like from powershell create a folder for them, and also create a rule to move the mail.

Hello, yes thank your everyone ! I think we will create a rule on each client and have them filter off the email based upon message header into seperate folder.
