Address List Issues
I'm taking over a network from a previous engineer. AD 2003, Exch 2007. One of the first issues they've given me is that the "All Users" address book comes up by default instead of the GAL.
1. Is there a way to manually fix that?
2. I did some light research and found that "the address list that has the most entries and is available to a user will be displayed by default". I noticed a user that was terminated and doesn't work here any more. I can't find the user
in AD and I can't find a mailbox for the user, but they continue to show up when you start an email and click the "To" button which brings up the "all users" list. How do I clear this user from that list?
Any help is appreciated..

and 2nd Question answer is :

Press the
down arrow key to select the email address and

if you want to delete

From your description this doesn't sound like a nickname file (NK2) issue since you are seeing the name in an address list. What's likely wrong is that you are working in cached mode and the offline address list is old. Try turning off cached
mode temporarily and see if the name disappears from the list. If it does, then you know that your offline address list is stale and that's what you need to look into fixing.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
