Addressing the Egyptian DST issue
Good morning,
I am currently assigned as an IT Manager for my Unit deployed to the Sinai. We have an issue where it seems that the Exchange Server does not recognize the change in Daylight Savings Time that did not occur in Egypt this year. Users across the board are
having issues with Calendar Appointments being off an hour, and when we tried to apply a script to fix it, it did not work. What this script is, I do not know. However, now our Communications Department is stating that we have to re-image the machine to fix
the problem, when it seems obvious the problem is occuring on the exchange server.
Any advice on what I can do on my end, or advise these folks on what to do on theirs? I believe they are using Exchange 2008
Thanks

Exchange gets its time and date from the O/S, and it's done so for a
number of years. I doubt that it's necessary to rebuild the server.
