Admin Pack for Exchange 2007
Hi, Is there an adminpack for the exchange management tools? I dont want to inject a whole DVD into SMS just to have my admin workstations updated with the latest msc's?

I believe that there is an Exchange 2007 management pack wizard available. The only place I know you can obtain it is on the System Center Operations Manager 2007 beta on http://connect.microsoft.com. I haven't tried it so can't comment on its detailed functionality. I don't know if that beta is still accepting participants.I am not sure if it is available elsewhere.Andrew Watt

I am looking for a adminpack.msi equivalent for exchange NOT a management pack. Lets say you have 20 exchange recipient administrators how do you load the admin tools on these computers (distributing the entireexchange DVD is an bandwidth and space killer)?

Exchange Management Tools are a part of the same setup as Exchange server. You can selectively install just the management tools in the GUI or the cmdline setup. SMS uses the BITS client in Windows (same thing Windows Update uses), which is designed to tweak downloads based on available client bandwidth, so it should not impact the client's experience while installing. The entire contents of the DVD will not be installed. For example there are UM language packs which take up most of the DVD, those will not be copied on the client machine.

Why would I want to inject an entire DVD of exchange 2007 into SMS just for the admin tools, which probably take up less than 50 mb? This was always a problem with exchange 2000/2003. You dont have to have the Entire Windows server CD to install the adminpack.msi to get the Windows 2000/2003 admin tools, why make exchange different. What I am looking for is an ExchAdminPack.msi with powershell and all Exchange 2007 admin tools included. From your answer I take it that there is one does not exist.... Thanks for the answer anyway, Riccardo
