Allow? Out-of-office responses (To Internet)
Hi Experts By reading through few web article with reference to Out-of-Office responses (to interenet) and it recommended to leave it at a default settings of disabled. I wanted to know if there way to create a rule-based on outlook 2003 that can send out-of-office message to user - found in contact list only. When user goes out-of-office then he can turn the rule on and exchange will be out-of-office to the user if found on the contact list. Kind Regards BhaveshBhavesh

You can turn on OOF based on particular domains or else you will have to opt for Auto -Response message as mentioned by XiuVinod

This can be possible by setting OOF in OWA options...
Go to OWA -> Options -> Out of Office Assistant -> Select "Send Out of Office message to External Senders" with "Send Out of Office messages only to senders in my Contact list"

Hi Amit Thanks for your reply. The above feature is not available on the exchange server that i'm using i.e. Exchange Server 2003. I know how to enable the OOF to internet on exchange 2003 following this Microsoft Article - Q262352 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262352). Reviewing through discussion forums referene to OOF to internet, it recommended to leave default settings of the exchange server. The Response message as mentioned by Xiu it sounds to correct option but it adds as client only rule unable to create a server side rule, can someone assist how to create a server side rule on exchange server. Kind RegardsBhavesh
