Allow new email account access to the web
Hi there i have an Exchange server 2003 , I have the users account on it every thing works fine, Now i added a new user, configured outlook 2003 on my pc within company network recived the wellcome message . so When i tried to getemails from the web i cant recive but i can send.what is wrongthanks

The old email addresses send and recive emails , just the new one is not reciving.The email is added to the existing group, so do i still need to create an mx

Hi, I think that you are creating a new setup. If you have already created MX records then there is no need to recreate any. Thanks.

so why is not reciving emails from the web ?i can send/recive from within the local network but not from the webthanks

Do you have any firewall / smart host, etcetera between you and the Internet?If so, does this machine know of the new user?We update our DMZ SMTP servers 3 times a day, so when we first create a mailbox, that mailbox is unable to receive external mail for up to 12 hours.Karl

HI, is this issues affected only to newly added user?In the computer you created new user, did you got any error messages?How did you configure the Settings for that user?Please logging in to OWA by problematic user and check whether it is works or not?Regards

yes i have a smart host, but cos i addet the new user to the group it should not affect the security settings, or can it?

yes only the new user is affected, and no did not get any errors on creation

Hi,Could you create a new user to test? Add the address within(without) the exist group.Please check the delivery restriction is not choose" Require that all senders are authenticated" for the user.Please also check the user address is not list in the "Recipient Filter".Frank Wang
